Reports are that Nigerian British Singer and rhythm guitarist Kele Okereke, and his indie rock band "Bloc Party", are planning a reunion, which could happen within this year. (continues below... )
"Bloc Party", made up of Kele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Russell Lissack (lead guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass guitar, synths, backing vocals), and Matt Tong (drums, backing vocals), was formed in 1999 by Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack.
The band released their debut album "Silent Alarm" in 2005, which won the 2006 PLUG Awards "Indie Album of the Year", NME Album of the year, and was also certified Platinum in Britain. They subsequently released two more high performing albums in 2007, and 2008, before going on a break in October 2009.
Within this break, lead singer Kele Okereke proceeded to launch a solo career, releasing the critically acclaimed album "The Boxer".
Recently though, guitarist Russell Lissack, has said that he and Kele Okereke have begun working on new material, and the band would probably be heading to the studios this September.
